Pointe-Claire to inaugurate Parc d’Athènes on September 26

Pointe-Claire will formally inaugurate Parc d’Athènes on Saturday, September 26, with a free community event from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

The park is located between Braebrook and Hastings avenues. The city says its name recalls two former local landmarks: the Athens restaurant-pizzeria and the Walton shopping centre.

Pizza will be offered during the event. If rain forces a postponement, the city has set Sunday, September 27, at 1 p.m. as the alternate date.
