Rivière-des-Prairies–Pointe-aux-Trembles borough council has approved a 30 km/h speed limit on Rue Notre-Dame Est between 6th and 13th avenues, along with one-way traffic on four nearby residential streets.

The one-way designations apply to Rue Sainte-Anne and 1st, 4th, 5th and 6th avenues between Notre-Dame and Rue Prince-Albert. The borough said residents will be told before the changes take effect.

Council also authorized about $117,000 for road-patching work on several borough streets this autumn and two contributions totalling roughly $106,000 to the local business association. The decisions were taken October 6 and summarized by the city on October 14.
