Lachine has adopted a balanced $36.9-million operating budget for 2027, up about five per cent from $35.2 million this year.

The borough expects $26 million in central-city transfers, $9.4 million in local revenue and $1.5 million from accumulated surplus. Its local service-tax rate will rise from 0.0434 to 0.0437 per $100 of assessment, while the per-door tariff rises from $57.91 to $66.60. The borough estimates the combined local increase at about six per cent for an average single-family home and nine per cent for an average condominium or triplex. Montréal’s general property-tax rates will be set separately by the central city.

Lachine also adopted a $44.5-million capital plan for 2027–2036. The $4.5-million allocation for 2027 includes $2.4 million for roads, $1.5 million for buildings and $600,000 for parks.
