Pointe-Claire sets October 14 bulky-item pickup and Saturday ecocentre

Pointe-Claire will collect bulky items on Wednesday, October 14, followed by a local ecocentre at the Public Works yard on Saturday, October 17.

The bulky-item collection is for large, non-upholstered recoverable or recyclable objects that are too big for regular containers. Mattresses and box springs are not accepted in this collection.

The local ecocentre will operate from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 50 Terra-Cotta Avenue. It will accept construction waste, electronics and tires, and offer document shredding. Household hazardous waste will not be accepted.

The city’s next leaf collection is scheduled for October 19. Weekly household-waste pickup ends October 27 in Sector A and October 28 in Sector B; collection then moves to every two weeks beginning November 3.
