Canada–Tunisia air agreement expands passenger and cargo rights

Canada and Tunisia have expanded their bilateral air-transport agreement, increasing the number of permitted passenger-cargo flights and removing several route restrictions.

Transport Canada says airlines from each country may now operate up to seven passenger-cargo flights per week, compared with four previously. Airlines also gain access to an unlimited number of destinations in both countries instead of one destination in each.

The agreement also allows an unlimited number of weekly all-cargo flights. The previous arrangement did not provide dedicated all-cargo rights.

The original Canada–Tunisia air agreement dates to 2010 and was first expanded in 2019. The new rights permit airlines to add service, but the announcement does not itself confirm new routes or flight schedules.
