DDO library loans continue as Civic Centre repairs progress

An August update places library loans near entrance 4 and targets late September for the pools, subject to repairs.

Dollard-des-Ormeaux is maintaining library lending while repairs continue at the Civic Centre following damage from the June 20 rainfall.

In its August 21 update, the city said loans were available near entrance 4, with staff assisting residents while the library’s regular premises remained closed.

The same notice targeted late September for the Aquatic Centre’s pools to reopen, depending on completion of the work. That is a provisional timetable, rather than a confirmed reopening day.

The city was also exploring alternative spaces for activities affected by the closures, including programs used by seniors.

Before travelling to the Civic Centre or making plans around a pool reopening, residents should check the latest municipal notice. The August announcement gives no firm date for restoring the library’s usual premises, and it does not confirm the location of every displaced activity.
