Pointe-Claire has announced dates for two free community events as the holiday season approaches.

The Holiday Train is scheduled to stop in Valois Village on Thursday, November 19, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. The city is asking visitors who can contribute to bring non-perishable food or new toys; a collection point will be available at the event.

Light Up Village is planned for Saturday, November 28, from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the corner of Cartier Avenue and Lakeshore Road. The program includes free activities, open skating and music, with the tree lighting scheduled for 6 p.m.

Residents can contact the city at 514-630-1214 for event information and should check the municipal page before travelling in case plans change.
