Canadiens open back-to-back set against Buffalo tonight

The Montréal Canadiens host the Buffalo Sabres at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, October 13, at the Bell Centre, opening a back-to-back set that continues Wednesday in Washington.

It will be the first meeting between Montréal and Buffalo since the 2026 Eastern Conference Second Round. The Canadiens are promoting Tuesday’s home game as a Soirée Québécoise.

At Monday’s practice, the club listed forward Oliver Kapanen and defenceman Mike Matheson as absent for therapy days. That designation was not an announcement that either player would miss Tuesday’s game.
