International Trade Minister Maninder Sidhu will lead nearly 300 delegates on a Team Canada trade mission to India from October 12 to 17, Global Affairs Canada announced.
The mission will visit Mumbai and Bengaluru and focus on aerospace and space, clean technology and energy, information and communications technology, life sciences, and agriculture and agri-food. Ottawa describes it as Canada’s largest trade delegation to India in more than 30 years.
Two-way Canadian goods and services trade with India totalled $30.4 billion in 2025, including $11.0 billion in merchandise trade, according to the federal release.
The government has set a target of $70 billion in annual bilateral trade by 2030. That figure is a policy objective, not a completed agreement or guaranteed outcome from this mission.
