Bimbo Canada’s Laval bakery has received an Industrial Energy Saver Award in the federal government’s 2026 ENERGY STAR Canada awards.

The Laval facility was recognized under the ENERGY STAR Challenge for Industry, a program that asks industrial sites to reduce energy intensity. The federal announcement did not provide a dollar value or a facility-specific energy-saving figure for the award.

Other 2026 recipients include organizations in homebuilding, product manufacturing, retail and energy management. Home Depot Canada received the Retailer of the Year award, while Efficiency Manitoba and Indigenous Clean Energy were among those recognized for program delivery and partnerships.

Environment and Climate Change Canada announced the winners while marking the program’s 25th anniversary. The full list appears in the department’s October 6, 2026 release.
