Pointe-Claire’s new Citizen eSpace becomes available Thursday, October 1, giving residents a single online account for municipal alerts and several city services.

The city said in a September 4 announcement that the portal will work on the web and through a mobile application. Users can choose notifications for emergencies, waste collections, drinking-water notices and roadwork, see personalized collection schedules, submit certain permit applications and report local problems.

Residents who used Pointe-Claire’s previous alert system must create a new Citizen eSpace account beginning October 1; existing accounts do not carry over automatically. Notification choices can then be set by topic and delivery method.

The city presents the portal as a central access point rather than a replacement for emergency services. Urgent situations should still be reported through the appropriate emergency channel.
