Montréal Botanical Garden sets month-long Halloween program

Montréal’s Botanical Garden will run its Frissons d’Halloween program from October 1 to 31, with daytime activities aimed mainly at families and young children.

The city’s September 24 announcement lists a giant-seed seasonal display, an art workshop where participants can make plant-inspired “monster babies,” a maze and the Même pas peur! activity for children aged four to eight.

Visitors booking the same date can combine the Halloween program with Gardens of Light without an additional admission charge, according to the city. Reservation requirements, opening hours and capacity can vary, so families should check the Botanical Garden booking page before travelling.

The event runs for the full month rather than only on Halloween. That gives West Island families more scheduling options, but travel time and parking or transit conditions should be considered for evening visits during the separate Gardens of Light program.
