Ashlin Barry wins men’s under-23 world road race in Montréal

American rider Ashlin Barry won the men’s under-23 road race at the 2026 UCI Road World Championships in Montréal on Friday, September 25.

Official Tissot Timing results list Barry first in 4:17:35. Spain’s Hector Alvarez finished second and Norway’s Jesper Stiansen third, both 53 seconds behind the winner. France’s Aubin Sparfel was fourth with the same recorded time as Alvarez and Stiansen.

The result adds another championship decision to Montréal’s week-long road cycling programme. It is separate from the elite races still to come, and the under-23 title should not be read as an elite world championship result.

The UCI competition hub lists the championship schedule, while the official timing results provide the full finishing order. Both were checked September 26.
