The Québec Bridge will be fully closed in both directions on Sunday-through-Thursday nights from September 20 until the morning of October 16, according to Québec’s transport ministry.

Each closure is scheduled from 9 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. the following day. The ministry says the work is needed to finish rebuilding Route 175 north of the Québec and Pierre-Laporte bridges and install a new dynamic lane-control system.

Pedestrians and cyclists retain access

The bridge sidewalk is expected to remain open for pedestrians and cyclists. A shuttle will be available for moped users, with boarding points listed in the ministry notice.

The ministry also warns that another full weekend closure will be required in October for final paving, but the dates have not yet been confirmed. Drivers should check Québec 511 before travelling because the schedule may change with weather, progress or operational needs.
