Le Sud-Ouest has adopted a balanced $72.7-million operating budget for 2027, an increase of $3.2 million from the current year.

The borough’s local tax rate will rise from 0.051 to 0.056 per $100 of assessment. It estimates the local change at about $56 for an average single-family home, $34 for an average condominium and $56.60 for a typical plex. Montréal’s central budget will determine broader city tax rates.

The borough also adopted a 2027–2036 capital program worth nearly $100.5 million. Its priorities include maintaining buildings and public assets, adapting infrastructure to climate risks, and setting aside money in a dedicated asset-maintenance fund.
