Nineteen National Film Board of Canada works have been selected for continuous screenings in the inaugural film program at the new Lucas Museum of Narrative Art in Los Angeles.

The NFB said the selection includes 15 animated films, three documentaries and one experimental work made between 1941 and 2009. Titles include Norman McLaren’s Neighbours and Begone Dull Care, Arthur Lipsett’s 21-87, Ishu Patel’s Bead Game, Martine Chartrand’s Black Soul and Theodore Ushev’s Tower Bawher.

The museum, founded by George Lucas and Mellody Hobson, opened September 22. The NFB films are being shown in its two theatres as part of the first program.

The Montréal-based NFB also assembled an online playlist tied to the selection, giving Canadian viewers a way to explore the works without travelling to Los Angeles.
