The Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing said on September 21 that local municipalities, regional county municipalities and municipal groupings may submit proposals through the Forces francos municipales initiative.
Eligible projects are intended to share expertise or create and strengthen partnerships with francophone or francophile municipalities and municipal organizations in other provinces and territories. The ministry lists sustainable land-use planning, climate adaptation, intermunicipal cooperation, infrastructure management, citizen participation and municipal democracy among the possible themes.
The initiative forms part of Québec’s 2025–2028 action plan for the Canadian francophonie. Municipal organizations considering an application should consult the programme page for the full eligibility and submission requirements before the November 20 deadline.
