Pointe-Claire adopts $42.1-million capital program for 2027

Pointe-Claire council has adopted a three-year capital program that sets out $42.115 million in planned investments for 2027, with work aimed at drainage, parks, roads and municipal facilities.

The program was approved at a special council meeting on September 8 and announced by the city on September 10. Among the listed projects are a splash pad, rest area, microforest and expanded bioretention basin at Hermitage Park; drainage work at Cedar Park Heights Park; and the start of a renovation of the Saint-Jean overpass above Highway 40 in partnership with Québec’s transport ministry.

The city also plans road reconstruction in the Tampico and Cameron Crescent areas, continued conversion of municipal lighting to LED technology, park-accessibility work, and upgrades at the Olive-Urquhart Sports Centre, Stewart Hall Cultural Centre and Pointe-Claire Canoe Kayak Club.

The capital program identifies planned projects rather than completed work. Individual schedules, contracts and final costs may be refined as projects move forward.
