Pointe-Claire opens renovated base for Volunteer Rescue Unit
Pointe-Claire has inaugurated a renovated Saint-Jean Boulevard base for its Volunteer Rescue Unit, bringing the volunteer service closer to municipal and emergency partners.

Pointe-Claire has inaugurated a renovated building for its Volunteer Rescue Unit on Saint-Jean Boulevard, beside the city’s Inspection–Public Security office.
The unit has moved from its former Victoria Avenue location in Pointe-Claire Village. The city says the new site places volunteers near public security staff, the local SPVM station and a Montréal fire department station, with the goal of improving coordination during emergencies.
The building includes space adapted for training and emergency-preparedness work. The opening, held November 4, also marked the unit’s 75th anniversary and included recognition of long-serving members.
