Anjou and the English Montreal School Board have inaugurated an inclusive park-school project on the grounds of Dalkeith School and the former Spalding Street right-of-way.

The $3.4-million project, funded through Montréal’s participatory budget, expanded the site to about 12,700 square metres. It includes nine play modules, a sports field, a misting feature, relaxation areas and a washroom.

The borough says the play equipment was chosen with input from the school, which serves students with special needs, and was designed to support neurodivergent children while remaining open to children of all abilities.

The school-zone portion is reserved for students during school hours. The public can use it in the evenings, on weekends and during school holidays.
