Pointe-Claire has issued a precautionary boil-water advisory for addresses 30 to 70 Queen Avenue following a water-main break.

The City says people at the affected addresses should bring tap water to a rolling boil for at least one minute before drinking it, preparing food or brushing their teeth. The advisory remains in place until water-quality testing confirms it can be lifted.

Affected residents are to receive a door hanger when the advisory ends, and the City says it will update its notice online. Public Works can be reached at 514-630-1230.
