Pointe-Claire is recruiting two volunteer directors for the board of the Pointe-Claire Canoe Kayak Club, with applications open until November 2.
The city said one appointment will run through December 31, 2027, while the other will run through December 31, 2028. Board members are expected to attend three or four meetings a year and may also help with club events and other activities.
Pointe-Claire is looking for people with experience in sport or sport management, together with skills in areas such as finance, business, education, law or medicine. Living in Pointe-Claire is considered an asset but is not mandatory.
Candidates should send a résumé and cover letter to recreation@pointe-claire.ca. The city lists 514-630-1256 and infocanoe@pointe-claire.ca for more information.
The club operates on Lac Saint-Louis and supports recreational and competitive paddling. The board call gives residents and people with relevant professional experience a direct way to take part in the governance of a long-running West Island sports organization.
