Saint-Léonard will provide up to $50,000 to Habitations communautaires Saint-Léonard for predevelopment studies on a proposed five-storey, 40-unit non-market residential building.

The project is planned for the intersection of Bélanger and d’Avila streets. The grant will fund studies, inspections and other technical work intended to determine whether the project can be built.

Bâtir son quartier is supporting the organization. The borough says the Société d’habitation du Québec is expected to provide most of the eventual project financing, but the October decision concerns feasibility work rather than final approval or construction.
