Pierrefonds aquatic complex handed over, but opening date remains unset

Pierrefonds–Roxboro says its new aquatic complex has been formally handed over to the borough after construction, but it is not yet ready to receive the public.

The borough said on September 22 that teams are installing furniture, equipment, computer systems and signage while completing cleaning, final touch-ups, staff training and operational testing. It has not announced an opening date, saying the systems must first be validated under real operating conditions.

The plan calls for a progressive public opening, followed by the full course programme in 2027. Residents should wait for the borough’s formal date announcement before planning a visit.
