STM details UCI bus suspensions, detours and $55 transit pass

The STM says up to 30 bus routes will be affected during the Montréal 2026 UCI Road World Championships, which run from September 20 to 27.

The transit agency recommends the métro and REM for travel near the race courses. It is also selling a special all-modes ABC pass for $55, valid from September 19 through 27.

Routes 11 and 711 will be suspended from 5:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. on September 23 through 27. During the same hours, routes 51, 129 and 155 will not serve the Édouard-Montpetit and Université-de-Montréal métro stations.

On Île-des-Soeurs, routes 12, 168 and 872 will be suspended from 5:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. from September 19 through 21; the STM points riders to the REM and says service will be increased on routes 172 and 176.

Airport bus 747 route 1 will skip Lionel-Groulx from 6:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. on September 26 and from 6:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on September 27. Route 2 will continue operating between the airport and Lionel-Groulx.

Separately, routes 80, 97, 129, 365 and 480 are detoured around avenue du Parc from September 4 through October 4. Riders should check the STM’s live service information before leaving because stop locations and detours can change with race operations.
