During Apple’s WWDC 2025 keynote event on Monday, the company did not introduce any new hardware products. However, recent findings indicate that new AirPods may soon be arriving.
According to information discovered by Steve Moser from MacRumors, references to AirPods Pro 3 have surfaced in the code of the newly released iOS 26 developer beta. These mentions appear alongside references to existing models, AirPods Pro and AirPods Pro 2.
This discovery strongly suggests that the AirPods Pro 3 launch could be nearing, which aligns logically with Apple’s typical release schedule, given that the AirPods Pro 2 have been available for nearly three years. Additional language spotted in the code such as “AirPods Pro 2 or later” further hints at forthcoming hardware.
Apple has declined to comment on the matter.
