Apple Maps has unveiled a new partnership integrating content from the MICHELIN Guide, The Infatuation, and Golf Digest, enhancing the app’s offerings with expert-driven recommendations for restaurants and golf courses. Initially rolling out in the United States, the update enables Apple Maps users to filter searches to discover MICHELIN-rated dining venues celebrated for exceptional cuisine and service.
Recognizing that spontaneous diners might not always secure a reservation at these top Michelin establishments, Apple also includes more accessible dining recommendations from The Infatuation, providing users with curated alternatives suited for casual, last-minute decisions.
In addition to its well-known restaurant reviews, the MICHELIN Guide also provides hotel ratings and booking capabilities, both of which will now be accessible within Apple Maps. Complementing this, the Golf Digest integration allows users searching for golfing opportunities to easily find recommended courses in their vicinity, though it’s expected that food-focused destinations may attract broader interest among Maps users.
All three new partners will also contribute their expertise to Apple Maps’ curated travel guides. These guides are designed to help travelers identify and explore highlight destinations, enhancing their overall journey by conveniently locating reputable restaurants, hotels, and recreational activities.
