Meta has announced that its Ray-Ban smart glasses will officially arrive in the Indian market starting May 19, priced at ₹29,990 (approximately $353). Prospective buyers can already pre-order the glasses directly from Ray-Ban’s website, while the devices will also be available across Ray-Ban retail stores at launch.
The Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses feature integrated Meta AI, allowing wearers to interactively query their surroundings, translate audio and video content in real-time, send messages via paired smartphones, and make hands-free calls. At present, live translation capabilities are available offline in English, French, Italian, and Spanish; however, support for Indian regional languages has not yet been implemented.
For music enthusiasts, Meta says the smart glasses in India will sync seamlessly with popular streaming apps including Spotify, Amazon Music, Shazam, and Apple Music, enabling users to enjoy music directly through their eyewear.
Since the initial global introduction of the smart glasses in 2023, Meta has successfully sold around 2 million units.
