Bezos Moves in on Trump’s Feud with Musk: Secret Talks and a Venetian Invitation Stir Speculation

Jeff Bezos is reportedly working to capitalize on a recent public rift between President Donald Trump and Elon Musk, pursuing closer ties with the White House amid strained relations between the administration and Musk’s companies.

According to new reports, Bezos has spoken directly with Trump at least twice this month, discussing potential opportunities for his space company, Blue Origin, to secure additional government contracts. In addition, Blue Origin CEO Dave Limp met at the White House with Trump’s chief of staff Susie Wiles, further indicating Bezos’s intensified lobbying efforts.

In an apparent step toward a personal rapprochement as well as a political maneuver, Bezos has invited Trump to his upcoming wedding in Venice, Italy.

The backdrop to these overtures is the recent acrimonious exchange between Trump and Musk on social media. The conflict escalated noticeably when Musk insinuated Trump’s connection to undisclosed “Epstein files,” suggesting this explained why they hadn’t been publicly released. Trump fired back, threatening to revoke “Billions and Billions of Dollars” worth of subsidies and government contracts given to Musk’s various ventures.

Although the feud has since somewhat cooled, the fallout has left Musk in an uncertain position, highlighted by Trump’s withdrawal of a previous nomination of Musk’s favored candidate to head NASA. Bezos, sensing an opening, appears keen to position Blue Origin as an attractive alternative for the Trump administration. Insiders claim Trump himself has mentioned to Bezos his interest in overseeing a crewed mission to the Moon during his presidency—a goal closely aligned with Blue Origin’s strategic objectives, in sharp contrast to Musk’s priority of Mars exploration for SpaceX.
