SpaceX is currently in discussions to raise additional funds through the issuance of new shares to select investors, a transaction that could push the company’s valuation to roughly $400 billion.
As part of this proposed round, SpaceX intends not only to raise new capital but also to conduct a separate tender offer allowing employees to sell a portion of their holdings to approved investors. Sources familiar with the matter indicate that such tender offers are typically held by the company twice each year.
Since its establishment more than two decades ago, SpaceX has consistently seen its valuation surge, surpassing the $100 billion mark in October 2021. The company’s valuation subsequently doubled within three years, reflecting investor confidence and continued operational success. Most recently, in December 2024, a similar tender offer valued the aerospace giant at approximately $350 billion.
The ongoing negotiations are continuing, and final details of the arrangement—including the share price—remain subject to change.
